FW Video Gallery

FW Video Gallery component is a perfect solution for Joomla users, who want to create not only photo-galleries, but who also want to supplement galleries with favourite reels or home-video. With this component you can create photo and video galleries separately or mix them together.

FW Video Gallery component provides you with a large number of features, like JoomFish integration, voting system,different templates design, EXIF information reader, Youtube, Vimeo, Blip.tv and FLV support, preview images of the chosen provider and much more.

Installation requirements:

• Joomla 1.5.x - Joomla 1.7.x
  

Note: unzip the pack first. If FW Gallery is already installed on your Joomla website, then you need to install FW Gallery Video plugin only. If FW Gallery is not installed, then you install FW Gallery and then FW Gallery Video plugin. Please, use documentation and our video tutorials.

Video Galleries Settings

Each of the category can be pointed out by a certain colour.

This nested-level structure is very convenient and it allows you to assign parent gallery and its subgalleries to menu.

2. Video gallery access limits: you can make your video gallery available for all guests or only for registered users.

3. HTML gallery description field. It is possible to use HTML editor to write a description of the gallery.

Video Files Settings

1. There are such fields in the back-end available as: File name, User/Authors, Date, Gallery.

2. HTML description field is available for video file description field as well.

3. There are 4 types for video providers that you can select: YouTube, Vimeo, FLV and Blip.tv.

4. Video type indicator is added. It is better to identify whether your file is a video or image, specially if you have a mixed type of gallery.

5. Voting settings: public voting (available for all guests) or only for registered users

6. Display "Views" on sinlge videos: yes/no option.

2. You can define the number of galleries in a row, per page as well as ordering type: alphabetically, newest/oldest first, default ordering.

Integration with JomSocial and FW Gallery add-ons

If you use FW Gallery JomSocial Plugin, your videos will be displayed in your JomSocial profile in the way you will choose: most viewed first, most voted first, new first or by name and in number you will set. Clicking on the video, you will be leaded to the gallery itself.

FW Gallery Comment Plugin allows you and your visitors to comment video files that are displayed in your video gallery. JComments, JomComment, Disqus integration is available. Click here to view demo.

FW Gallery Latest Module will show your latest, random or newest video files in one of chosen Joomla module positions. You can show it with and without black pop-up plate.

FW Video Gallery Component allows you to create video galleries or create mixed photo and video galleries. It is compatible only with FW Gallery and can't be used separately.

No, the current version of the plugin supports only YouTube, Vimeo, Blip.tv providers and Flash video files.

1. Log into your Joomla! Administrator Panel and go to Extensions >> Install/Uninstall:

2. Click on Overview button and select a zip-file with FW Gallery and upload it:

3. If everything works fine, you will get the message "Install Component Success"

4. Go to Extensions >> Install/Uninstall >> Components and enable it.

5. Assign FW Gallery to menu. Choose the Menu where you would like your gallery to be shown. For example, select Main Menu:

6. Click on New button on the right upper corner:

7. Select FW Gallery and three categories will be opened: Galleries View, Single Gallery View,Single Image View:

8. If you want all three categories to be assigned to main menu, make the same procedure for each of them. This is the example for Galleries category: click the Default Layout and make appropriate changes i.e. write the title and click Save.
